He is uniquely recognised for being a catalyst to amalgamate artistic ideas with his expertise in sound technology to record, produce & mix for Composers, Orchestras, Major Music Labels, Cross Cultural and Experimental Music endeavors to name a few, worldwide. His innate capacity as Musician coupled with commendable Sound recording and production ability has given him a unique stature in our country. Resound India is a hub for many top classical artists in India to produce their albums. His work as an mixing engineer is across a huge panorama of genres ranging from Classical music, folk art forms, commercial film music, International orchestral albums, world music albums, International films, Hip-hop, Rock, Pop, EDM and other modern collaborative music amidst sound design for award winning wild life films.
He was conferred the 'SANGEET NATAK AKADEMI YUVA PURASHKAR' by the Govt of India in the year 2018 for is exceptional contribution to the field for Recording Classical arts. In 2020 he was the first sound engineer to receive the highest civilian honour 'KALAIMAMANI' from Govt of Tamil Nadu. 'Madhura Murali Purashkar' was specially conferred by Dr. Balamurali Krishna for exceptional contribution towards recording Classical Music.
Amongst his international works, Sai Shravanam is the Sound Recordist and Additional Engineer for the Academy Award winning film, 'Life of Pi' (2012). He was the first to be credited cumulatively as a Musician, an Indian Music Producer, a Music Arranger, a Scoring and Recording Engineer for the British biographical drama film, 'The Man Who Knew Infinity' (2015).
Both in Sound & Music Productions, Sai Shravanam has worked extensively for over two decades with world renowned composers/artistes & producers across the globe : Dr. Balamurali Krishna, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma, Lalgudi Jayaraman, Karaikudi Mani, Mandolin Shrinivas, Dr. Rajkumar Bharathi, Ganesh Kumaresh, Rajesh Vaidya, Bombay Jayashri, Sudha Raghunathan, Aruna Sairam, Ranjani Gayatri, Abhishek Raghuram to name a few. Sai has also engineered award winning albums with legendary international artists such as Sharon Isbin, Wu Man, Justin Stanley, Eero Hameenniemi, Mike Herting, Michael Danna, Coby Brown, Michael Koehler and many others. In the field of Indian Classical Dance, Sai has recorded most of India's greatest exponents such a Sudha Rani Raghupathi, Chitra Visweswaran, Leela Samson, Alarmelvalli, Malavika Sarukkai, Priyadarshini Govind, Kalamandalam Balakrishnan, apart from many others.
In the Indian film industry, Sai Shravanam has performed and engineered for various composers from South Indian, including the legendary Music composer A.R. Rahman, Maestro Illayaraja, Anirudh Ravichandar, Vidyasagar, Sean Roldan, Santhosh Narayanan, Girishh Gopalakrishnan, C Sathya to name a few. Sai's works have been featured in some of the most iconic theatres in the world such as the Kennedy Center -USA, Royal Albert hall-London, Historic Stadt Halle-Germany, The Shanxi Grand Theatre-China, Queen Elizabeth hall-UK, Esplanade Theatre-Singapore, Kilkenny Festival-Ireland, White Light festival-New York, The Hauge-Netherlands amongst many others.
Sai has also designed & mixed the sound for many wildlife documentaries and movies for the eminent Wildlife Film maker and Conservationist Shekhar Dattatri on his award winning movies: Two Tigers, Chilika, Amur Falcons and many more.
